Yes, this is a shocking event. We all believed Obama was going to make healthcare affordable and instead he turned it into more of an expense for people.

FFA, yes he said the average family would save $2,500 on their cost. These increases are necessary, right? Have we seen one indication that the ACA is affordable? 6 years and counting.

President Obama did the right thing. The insurance industry did what they do so well. Demand and Supply, more Americans were going to finally be able to afford health insurance and the Insurance Industry took advantage of this surge and started applying for rate hikes.

Why, the industry will use the excuse “WE HAVE TO ACCPET CONSUMERS WITH PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS” How many new insured Americans did each insurance company insure with a PRE-EXISTING CONDITION.

I know healthy outweighs the Pre-existing — Healthy families that simply wanted to know that if they needed insurance it’s available.

Available for women to get NEEDED BREAST EXAMS, FOR CHILDREN TO GO TO THE DR. VERSUS A CLINIC HAVE A SMALL GROUP OF DR’S OR 1 DR KNOW THEM FROM CHILDHOOD TO THEIR TEENAGE YRS THAT WILL KNOW IF THIS CHILD HAS CANCER BEFORE A CLINICAL DR THAT SEES THIS CHILD FOR THE 1ST TIME AND DOESNT KNOW BY LOOKING AND LISTENING FOR UNUSAL SYMPTOMS THAT WILL PROMPT THE DR. THAT KNOWS THIS CHILD TO SAY ” WE NEED TO CHECK SOME OTHER THINGS OUT I’M A LITTLE CONCERNED THIS IS NOT LIKE HIM/HER TO EXHIBIT THIS GOING ON”
WOMEN NEED TO BE ABLE TO RELY ON THEIR DR’S HAVE A COMFORT LEVEL IN DISCUSSING THEIR HEALTH AND TO HAVE THE OPITION TO SAY I’M NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THIS DR AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHOOSE.
Every Republican or Conservative wants to blame the President for the sky rocketing rate HIKES,, NOT!!!
The insurance companies decided they needed the hikes RISK FACTORS that have not been a RISK. They have more insured clients, the vast majority — NO, THE OVER WHELMING NUMBER OF NEW INSURED AMERICANS ARE HEALTHY — PRE-EXISTING — HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, DIABETES, HIGH CHOLESTEROL, OBESITY, DEPRESSION, ETC.. EVERY OTHER PERSON AT THE COMPANY I WORK FOR HAVE A LOT OF MEDICAL ISSUES.. PRE-EXISTING OR NOT — HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, HIGH CHOLESTEROL & DIABETES OBESITY CAN BE CONTROLLED THROUGH DIET & EXERCISE… IF THE INSURANCE COMPANIES WANT TO ELIMINATE RISK FACTORS IN RISING MEDICAL COST THE OLD AND NEW INSURED SHOULD ALSO HAVE COACHES THEY REPORT TO AND INCENTIVES TO ELIMINATE THE RISK OF HEART ATTACKS, STROKES & CANCER. INCENTIVES BEING A POINT SYSTEM — AND A LONG HEALTHY LIFE..
THE INSURANCE COMPANIES NEED TO OPEN HEALTH CLUBS THAT REQUIRE MONTHLY DUES PAID THROUGH PREMIUMS OR SEPERATE. GREAT INVESTMENT LINKED TO DR’S AND HOSPITALS — WITH REGISTERED DIETITANS, NURSES AND DR. DAY’S , PERSONAL TRAINERS.
GREAT INVESTMENT IN HEALTH VERSUS GREAT INVESTMENT IN JUST PROFITS AND WEALTH —
I’M SURE THE INSURANCE COMPANIES WHERE JUST SITTING AND WAITING FOR THE HEALTH CARE BILL TO GO INTO EFFECT AND PUSHED A BIG OLE RED BUTTON REQUESTING HIKES AND COUNTING PROFITS.
RISK FACTORS ARE AN EXCUSE FOR GREED. IF YOU HAVE CANCER & A HOST OF OTHER PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS ELIMINATE THE CONDITIONS THAT CAN LEAD TO EXPENSIVE SURGERIES, LONG HOSPITAL STAYS, MONTHLY MEDS..
LOOK AT THE NUMBER OF AMERICANS THAT EAT THEMSELVES TO DEATH, PUSH FOR ALCHOL ANY AND ALL SMOKING OR CHEWING TOBACCO TO BE ILLEGAL.
    SUPPORT DRUG REHABLITATION —
Everyone wants to find blame — they are pointing the finger at the wrong person — Start pointing at the insurance companies that are going to have some BIG OLE RECORD BREAKING PROFITS TO REPORT..
It’s to bad President Obama did not have a crystal ball in front of him WARNING ABOUT THE INSURANCE COMPANIES GREED…
The insurance industry needs more regulation, auto & health… Auto insurance industry figured out a way to discriminate against you if your ZIP CODE IS LESS THAN DESIRABLE OR YOUR CREDIT SCORE IS LOW — CREDIT BASED = INSURANCE INDUSTRY & FICO CREATED A BOGUS REPORT — PEOPLE WITH BAD CREDIT REPORT MORE ACCIDENTS VERSUS THOSE WITH GOOD CREDIT— THE GOVERNMENT FELL FOR THIS SIMPLY DUE TO THE FACT NO STUDY HAS BEEN DONE TO CHALLENGE THE FRADULENT ONE THE INDUSTRY AND FICO CAME UP WITH

Wanda, there is no reason to scream as your caps are doing. You sound like a female version of UW, Confused, Ron and a few others. Are you a Hilliary supporter? Everyone knows why the Health Insurance market is screwed up and it was passed in 2010 in the middle of the night, lied about for 6 years and we are seeing the manifestation of it every day of the week.

We live in a rigged economy where BOTH political parties are complicit in allowing monopoly pricing for the medical/insurance mafia. Neither party applies anti-trust law, because they want their share of campaign contributions/bribes. If anti-trust law was properly applied and real competition took over, we would be seeing prices dropping!

V, I have no way to confirm this, but one of my partners son graduated from Medical School last weekend. He said that he understood that Medicare pays every hospital $100,000 for each resident they employ. Hmm! If true, they get to bill for services rendered to Medicare patients and then they get their stipend for each resident in addition. Talk about rigging things.

There are fewer carriers now then before the PPACA. There are more failures that we as tax payers have to bite the bullet on.

How any one can think this is better then what we had is mind boggling.

But, but, but… more people are insured now than before ACA! So say the supporters who neglect to discuss ALL impacts of ACA. For example, affordability has deteriorated, as has access to your favored doctor and your preferred prior plan with lower deductible.

Of course, higher deductibles will LOWER the premium for insurance, or will lessen the increase in premium. But insureds will pay more out of pocket instead now instead of out of pocket before ACA.

If it’s such a great deal, why did Nancy Pelosi urge its’ passing for American citizens – allegedly without knowing what’s in it – but EXEMPT Congress from it?

As it turns out, and many critics suspected, passing ACA has turned out to be much like passing a kidney stone.

Those who continue to support ACA exemplify Einstein’s definition of insanity.

Except, eventually, a kidney stone passes and the pain stops. Not so with the ACA.

Correct. But I assume ACA will, too, soon pass gently into the night.
