I interviewed at a large retailer for a CSR position in late 2010. I heard through the grapevine they want “someone younger,” someone who will stay 15-20 years! Ha!
The person who left the vacancy left for a job closer to home and her small children.
The person who is covering both desks now is tearing her hair out while the muckity mucks dilly-dally around looking for that perfect(young) candidate…
Maybe the person left to cover will get frustrated and find another job. So being younger is no guarantee you’ll stick around.
Great article!
