We currently have several open positions and are seeking qualified individuals to join our team in a fun, busy, and growing brokerage.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contacts/calls new and established businesses for purposes of placing insurance.
• Sells renewal business to existing clients.
• Assures proper procedures are used regarding formulation of proposals and setting up files in compliance with company standards.
• Develops and maintains an electronic prospect file for new accounts using personal efforts, agency procedures, cold contacts, and referrals.
• Develops, maintains, and documents contacts with prospects in order to gain information on expirations and anniversary dates, insurance needs, and receptiveness to proposals.
• Analyzes client's needs for alternative carriers.
• Conducts sales presentations.
• Maintains contact and professional relationship with client so that appropriate coverages are in force and to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
• Tracks and reports on the status of all proposals, policies, and clients.
• Maintains professional relationships with co-workers in order to retain and expand agency-client relationships and develop internal cross-sell referrals where possible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
California Fire and Casualty insurance license
Associate's degree with related experience, Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline preferred.
Experience:
1-2 years sales experience with some insurance industry experience preferred.
Other Job Related Requirements:
• Must demonstrate sales aptitude, including strong persuasive abilities to influence and achieve desired outcomes.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must possess strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
• Must have strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must have advanced computer and word processing capabilities with emphasis on Microsoft Office and moderate mathematical skills.
COMPENSATION:
• $300 per week draw
• 40% Broker Fees & 40% Commission
• Unlimited earning potential!
