I'm glad that Gov. Granholm is tackling this issue. I feel this is a form of discrimination because of your credit history and the area in which you live. With auto insurance, your premium should be based only on your driving record. What does that say for the person who has excellent credit but 4 points on their license? It'll be an abuse of the system for the law-abiding, tax-paying customers. And if you live in a "high-rate", or high-crime area, why should you be penalized for where you live? Please change the system. Immediately.
