I was recently involved in an auto accident. at the accident scene the lady who hit me had no drivers license but produced valid insurance on her vehicle. I had an older car which i only had the basic bare bones liability. I did not choose underinsured/unisured protection or the pip because i was trying to save money. I now know better. my car is totaled (lady hit me from behind) i have a mountain of medical bills and the lady - is an exclusion on her husbands insurance policy - so even though she admits she was a fault she doesn't pay a dime - and she had no license only a texas id - my lawyers say there is no hope of any recovery in this case and i'm just out. I now know i need to have insurance to protect me from people like her. but now it is too late. i have no car no money or credit to buy another and a mountain of medical bills. Everyone should read your article and really consider all thier options when buying insurance on thier vehicles!
