Some carriers will extend insolvency coverage to companies rated A or better by Demotech, Inc., such as NAMICO Insurance Company, others such as Westport, extend coverage when the carrier is admitted and covered by a guaranty fund, Utica will provide coverage for carriers Demotech rates A or better and they review the financials and agree with the financial evaluation. This aspect of insurance agents E&O is ripe for revision. Stay tuned!!
