Great advice. Another tool managers have is the check ride. Many companies are not aware it is mandatory for drivers of commercial vehicles between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds in interstate commerce. I do medical re-evaluations of drivers for a local rehab hospital. Many times drivers have a lot of bad habits. I find drivers would like to improve, however, companies do not invest the resources to make it happen. And because there is a limited demand for good training materials, there are limited training materials available. Wake up management! Its time to get to work! Help good drivers become better drivers.
