Well, I am not a salesperson. BUT I am looking to improve my people skills. Your suggestions, such as using a person's name while greeting them, practicing active listening and making an effort to understand people on a personal level may seem obvious but are things many people seem to ignore. By trying some of the things you have suggested, I hope to improve my people skills and am confident I will. I know I would like to hear my name used more often when being greeted or to have someone simply be friendly and smile while chatting. Who wouldn't? Thank you for sharing this with me.
