Comment:
The problems persist with SAIF due to the amount of money involved, and how it is distributed. As a former employer, I believed that my employees were covered by a legitimate insurance carrier when I was paying my premiums. However, after becoming a "case number" of SAIF due to an accident on March 13, 2006, I have discovered that SAIF is only an organization that collects premiums from workers, and distributes it to medical providers and attorneys who will "play by their rules". It is acknowledged in the medical and legal community of Oregon that SAIF is a "broken system", and that only the State legislature can fix it, but no one apparently has the "balls" to take on this corrupt system.
Once again, we have the fox guarding the henhouse.
