Thank you for publishing such a great article. It definately is a good training mechanism.

We have a subsidiary who is in the domestic transportation brokerage business, but recently decided to expand into Int'l Freight Forwarding. They will just be typing up the Bill of Lading, their name will not be on the documents, just the shippers name and customers name (who contracted our assistance). We need to obtain Freight Forwarder E&O - on the documentation side. I believe the lowest limit is $250K w/$50K deductible, can you confirm? As well, what type of costs should we look to pay. Some carriers want to charge excessive amounts, i.e.; anywhere from $18K - $32K, but it is more insurance than I believe we need for the services we will be providing. I was told Freight Forwarder E&O policies start at $3K+ for documentation only. Can you please shed some light on this type of coverage and advise who the top carriers would be for this industry?

Thanks!
