If FEMA has not covered the costs of the loss of these homes, who has? Have some blamed the County or County Officials??? Just curious.
I work for the City of Tooele, Utah, in the Building Dept. We recently lost (he was fired) our Public Works Director beause he was chosen as a "scapegoat" resulting from the rains we had Memorial Day, 2005. Less than 20 homes had storm water in their basements, yet those individuals sought payment from THE CITY for this "disaster." Our City Attorney 'caved in' as well, and paid the $$. It is my perception that the Mayor and City Council fired our Public Works Director because of these fees. What a mistake they have made - - they let a VERY valuable employee go...he was just
1 1/2 yrs from retiring! What a sad world we live in.
I know I have shared WAY too much information. This just happened this week and as you can see, I am still frustrated by it all.
