Great article Brian. One note..The IL-76 is a modern four engine jet, not prop. It can stop a raging wildfire over an area equal to 12 football fields in 10 seconds. Nothing else in the world can do that. The USFS has admitted before a congressional hearing that the FAA does NOT certify firefighting aircraft, but Rose Davis continues to blatantly lie in hopes that the media will believe her.
