I recently purchased a beautiful violin from a gentleman who bought it from a recent auction. I think the auction was about 4 weeks ago, The violin is beautiful and the date is incised on back 1897 Lincoln Inst. NEB. I have tried to do research on it and so far, I have been having a very hard tine. My computer has unauthorized applications and so I decided to look to see if this violin was stolen, I am very upset now and did try to get an online appraisal from whatsitworth and was told that it was not a special violin worth aprox, $800.00. I thought it was beautiful and I berlieved it was special. Now could this be the same violin? I Would like to kmow more so that I will be entitled to the reward if it is the violin. Please advise.
