The verbal threshold
bill should be overturned. You can
have a serious soft
tissue injury, such as a herniated disc, facet joint whiplash
and your insurance company can cut you
off when they deem it necessary, right in the middle of treatment with your doctor. This is wrong. I would rather see a medical dollar amount for a serious soft tissue
injury instead of the verbal threshold. A serious or permanent
soft tissue injury has serious conseqences in the future. Saving the
money in the short term and giving up
your right to sue for pain and suffering could cost
you in the long run.
I believe their need
to be limitations, but the verbal threshold isn't the
right answer.
