(Is this a scam)After fire at home which I put out-was given a number to call for restoration company.only idems burnt were stove,microwave light floor damage.restore came in & first thing with large sack, empty all food in pantry-tryed to get roast just bought. I ask this question why are you getting the food-said you cant eat this-has soot on it (most never opened)question-where is the adjuster-we dont need one, they trust us-call insurance co.(need an adjuster to come here)still no adjuster.wiped on frigerator,said this wont come off-I took rag & wiped it off.Thats ok we will get you a new one-1/1/2 years old-(we dont want a new one)ask for markus clayton sofa-(to take home to daddy)tried to get bed. Stoped them.Threw contents of frig out & loaded in pick up.Hard wood floors & rug were not damaged untill they came.(call adjuster again)said all is ok.cut up den rug threw out-unhooked two bed room of carpet-rolled up, put in van-threw out blinds, cutains that could be cleaned. Had to drive forty miles to see adjuster-said all ok-never came to look.Asking questions again.restore company quit-took all paint,wall paper left a huge mess.9call adjuster) get some one else or do it your self.Had to buy more paint-wall paper & fid some people to help.Found they charged insurance co. double & triple for frig-(their price 1,600(our price 750)microwave(800-our price 475)Ordered enought wall paper for three houses. (triple price)(call adjuster again)restore adready paid 4,800 to wash dishes & paint half of house.Called home office-show them what they charged for work they didnt do-(marked off around 6,000.Isurance paid them $10,000 more(FOR WHAT) --Wwere trying to save insurance co. money but they went right along with them. Restore co.said it would take ($41,000)to fix house-was ok with insurance co.STILL no adjuster.After 40 years with alfa they let this go on & a year an one half later they refuse to renew our insurance.Have called every one in state to get help-no help.No one made fire report-cant get any insurance at all.Policy went from $600-to $3,00 a year. In my opnion, this company is comdeming every thing they can & takeing it some where & selling it.I feel we could have got any thing we wanted new justing by asking for it.We tried to be honest & fair with insurance co but they didnt want it.Tell me why a insurance co would let this go on unless there are more people involved in the company? We know ther are people that will lie to get all they can but we were not that way. THANKS A LOT ALFA FOR STICKING IT TO HONEST PEOPLE. (GOD IS WATCHING & HE KNOWS WHAT ALL OF YOU DID.
