As someone who worked at PW for many years I see their demise as indicative of nothing other than poor management. It suffered from a senior staff that sought self promotion over good business practices. They also spent millions chasing the technology rabbit and implementing technologies too expensive and inappropriate for the size of the company. Enron on a smaller scale.
