Surely, this will open the door to a flood of claims against state welfare and human services agencies, which are generally understaffed, with underpaid workers. While I agree that they are some examples of blatant disregard for the welfare of some of the kids that are reportedly abused, I suspect that there is agreater number of examples of kids actually being rescued from those who have the moral and absolute duty to protect their own. Now,I suspect that any incident in which a child is abused would perhaps bring a "costly to defend" suit, which out tax money is used. --- My question is: what other steps did the father take to prevent the abuse of his kid?
