Being simple minded I can only summarize the reason for subidies as either NJ as a whole lot of incompetent docs in certain medical fields or they have a whole lot of lawyers and incompetent judges along with spineless jellyfish legislators unable to address the real issue.

My guess is that NJ docs are just as competent as docs in states that don't require subsidies.
