spare us..I guess it doesn't matter if the operators may have been negligent by overloading the boat in search of the almighty buck...but don't worry the poor, poor, poor insurance company's pocket books are relatively safe under NY's wrongful death law... they can only recover for pecuniary loss.. and I don't know of any 89 year olds who are big wage earners...I guess thats why we pay for insurance(otherwise liability insurance serves no useful purpose) so that if we negligently injure another human being we can compensate them or the family for the loss...
