Mark, I completely understand your point and yes, I am my agency offer benefits. Nevertheless, this is not the reason why I support forcing everyone to get coverage. To even validate that point, I do not accept inrresponsible clients and the agencies that will benefit from this law are the agencies that target these type of people. I am good at screening out the time wasters and these are the type of people who talk about getting coverage, but never get it. Gerneally, people who do not have coverage now will not get coverage in the future and those are the people I pass up because they will always have a tough time swallowing spending hundreds a month for the coverage.
Having said that, the only way to get people to pay for their medical bills is up front because they will always find a way to weazle their way out of it after services have been rendered. These are bad apples, they will hire attorneys or downright file BK to get out of it. Even putting them in jail will not solve the problem, because it will end up costing us more to do so. The bottom line is, we have to treat people, most espicially if their life is threatened.
I favor requiring everyone to get it (privately) or pay a high enough tax where the government will contract with a private company on that persons behalf to get coverage. While this is not a perfect solution, it is a soilution and its only fair that everone pays their fair share for healthcare, insteaf of forcing us to pay hundreds of dollars more a year to take care of these freeloading losers,
