But of course your reasoning applies equally to male-female friends who marry simply to get all the benefits afforded married couples. It happens all the time, and probably more frequently than there would be legitimate gay couples using this ruling.
There will always be a few people out to game the system. Doesn't mean we base our public policy on that fact.
