Subject: RE: Beware Insurers!
1) Provide dollars for future possible losses.
2) Share the risk across large populations
3) MAKE A PROFIT! That is the American way.
We are NOT a public accomodation. We are, hopefully, a profit making endeavor.
Sound actuarial and business practices, mitigated by sound public policy should be part of the rate setting mechanism.
...and, living outside of NYC, I am quite tired of it dictating to the rest of the state. We are NOT here for the City's benefit.
