NH statistics from 2003 (most recent I found) indicated that there were 91 fatalities and 7 out of 10 occupants killed did not have seat belts on. My sister's car slid on black ice, rolled over twice then landed on the roof in a ditch. She was suspended upside down and ultimately had internal bruising that took almost one year to heal....but she was and is alive.. that is exactly what the seat belt was meant to do. There are also numerous incidents of unbelted drivers being the cause of their kid's death by crushing them when they are ejected from the driver's seat and cannot control what happens to them.. please buckle up because it could be someone else's life...we don't care if you die but we don't want to pay for long term medical care for you and welfare for your family.
