No matter where you live, you are in line for potential disaster: hurricane, tornado, snow & ice, severe wind, or any other act of nature. We, here in New England, are helping to pay for others who have suffered severe damge such as Katrina, etc. The big question is: "Who benefits by the large premiums that are NOT spent annually on a disaster? How many top insurance executives receive huge year-end bonuses? Why don't the insurance companies stock-pile unused premiums and save them for future disaster needs? Many questions need definitive answers before any rate increase is approved!
