Subject: MD agents need a new vision
They want to monetize the upgrades & private property of tenants instead of just having individual condo owners buy their own individual insurance?
They're advocating for less clarity, less precision, more friction & litigation and less insurance for independent agents.
I guess MD independent agents are brain dead anti-capitalist Socialists who need "advocates" to demand less clear & concise contracts.
"Yes, we need to rely on assumptions rather than what the contract says"-said the agent's advocate?
The court made a good decision, there should be no leeway or gray area in contract coverage language, its a black & white issue, there should be no gray area between common & individual property, the purple Merino wool shag is yours, the roof is ours.
All condo associations are fascist anyway another rule for adequate insurance is no big deal, what's another bullet or fee on the condo owner's contract anyway?
And what's with the media hype too?
"Court Turns Maryland Condo Insurance Upside Down" that's hardly accurate, I think the ruling is a beenfit to condo insurers, they now have some predictability of the scope of losses, before they could be insuring property of which they had no idea of its value.
Article title should be "Court clarify's condo coverage in MD" followed by thousands of condo assns will receive lower premiums with clarity in coverage.
