The condo by-laws which are written by attorneys for the builder/developer/and the association must adheare to the State requirements. The Maryland condo law states that the association must insure the condo complex and the units except for improvements and betterments installed in units by the unit owners, in amounts determined by the association but not less than any amounts specified in the by laws. The by-laws will state if bare walls in or bare walls out. But the by-laws must be followed. Agents must read the by-laws before writing a policy.
