Hey Retired, I hate to tell you this, but you're wrong. The definition of a unit is as you described, but the Insurance provision in the Fl. condo law requires the association to insure all real property (including the "unit" as defined). The only thing they are not responsible for insuring are the improvements INSTALLED BY THE UNIT OWNER.

It's an "Original Specifications" wording.
