Tommy, dude, no need to yell.

It is true that issues such as this distract from larger issues and may be put out there for precisely that reason.

My take on this is that these items should be left to the parents. I have three siblings and had my older sister been restricted to one passenger there are times we would not have been able to get home at a decent time because she had Mom's car and Dad couldn't get away from work. Poor planning, yes, but that was the reality.

Make parents responsible for their children. The more we hold parents responsible the more responsible they will become.
