There was nothing wrong with the foam being used to absorb sound. If functioned perfectly fine until the jackasses from the band used pyro-techics without telling the bar owners. There are only two culpable parties in this disaster: the band and the bar. The band for starting the fire, and the bar for having emergency exists chained shut.
Nobody else should be paying a cent to surviving relatives or estates. Paying anything to those injured would be stretch. These "shotgun" tactics of suing anybody with a deep pocket should be contrary to public policy and dismissed. Anheiser Bush paid money? For providing beer to a bar? Nonsense.
