Well, he knows he'll never collect it.

BUT, after serving only four years for killing one man and permanently disabling another, maybe a huge judgement against the driver is the best the state can do. And even if the only one deterred from driving is drunk is her, they've saved a life. Not hers, no sympathy for her, but whoever her next victim would have been.
