Adam, I'm fairly certain what your describing occurs on a more regular basis than we know.

The problem is that the MADD mother's present MADD run NHTSA statistics based on death counts and not in terms of millions of miles of drink driving trips performed successfully without incident on a daily basis.

All MADD is doing is taking a ONE set of statistics that are produced to support their agenda of criminalizing a behavior as VENGEANCE for the death of their loved one.

Death is tragic, but the MO that MADD has been able to successfully employ is to take a tear jerking stories, throw a bunch of inaccurate and inflated statistics around an then watch legislators trip over themselves pandering for vote for "appearing" tough on crime.

Reactions here show the media propaganda about DUI this and DUI that has successfully made its way into mainstream thought.

Watch football on Sunday. How much alcohol is consumed at those games? How many drink driving miles are logged on the way home from every Sunday Football game.

Posters here seem to think it's a matter fo time before you are in an accident. Good attentive drivers don't get in accidents. Drinking drivers are actually more careful when driving than the majority of brain dead distracted SOBER drivers.

You may be trolling Adam. Fact is, people are burying their head in the sand if they think MADD's approach is the catch all end all to the issue.

MADD is in it for their cut of the 18 billion dollar a year economy they created.
