1) jail time is not needed. primary liability is the, but then that proceeds to the parents since they let him use the vehicle w/o a license. it's not the matter of what kind of car because it could have happened in any car. that young teenager will have to live with the emotional scar for killing his friends.
2) sometimes parents that are rich want to give their kid anything, including sports cars. they forget the overall picture of a youthful driver w/o experience. just because you are rich, does not mean you can purchase anything to make it solve anything.
as for worst parent of the year? there are probably many other that are contenders.
