And so we have yet another example of how lawyers can turn a horrible tragic accident into a law suit bonanza worth tens of millions in legal fees.
Think about the Ford settlement a few months ago-- the lawyers got tens of millions, and the actual victims got coupons with short expirations for a few hundred dollars off of the purchase of a new vehicle.
Since when did Indemnify The Victims become Pay The Lawyers?
I wonder if the law school professor started off his plan with the line ($176,000,000 - $##,000,000 [legal fees])...
