My Dear "anonymous" (so to speak) ccgirl:
Your comments were amazing at first but realizing how the article you have read was written, one can have some sorrow rather than anger. That is, Internet blurbs do strive for sensationalism often because of huge competition for attention.
Yes as you point out although not very kindly, you can google or use other Internet search engines and see how your remarks are indelibly (un-erasably) integrated now into the historical record of our present times. And glued into depictions of both of us on-line.
In the name of education, anyone willing to give their actual name and discuss focal topics rather than hurl personal insults, and who wishes to perhaps intern professionally in programs you discover, can of course write off-list. You are not being judged, just observed, so there is always a chance for repairs. Thank goodness.
Perhaps also you will want to learn about the recent 'Cyberhate Conference' at the
United Nations. Posts such as your recent ones were looked at with some scrutiny. And also even you may wish to discuss something about railroad crossings that are unlit at night, which in after-study seems not just a local situtation.
And a little law too might prove enjoyable if reached. And awareness of difficulties of online retractions, but still the possibilities of same.
In sum, one and groups can be part of solutions, not just problems, it is completely in your hands to do so as you are publishing very widely.
Again, please write off-list. If you wish.
And hopefully in a tone respectful of all.
In fact, his recent Cairo speech, President Obama referred frequently to Respect.
Let us hope that there is always an open door to peace through understanding.
Regards, Dr. Linda D. Misek-Falkoff. 50+ years in computing as you now know, and familiar with the ideas of some on "freedom of screech." (coinage). One supposes that encompasses "doozy," whatsover is intended by that in particular contexts.
Write re mentoring, and without age discirminatory comments please in this multi-generational culture, to almost.ketchup@gmail.com
Apologies for any typos. In terms of which - if you read (author error) that a railroad gate fell, no, it failed. Others on the Internet havce questioned this and it has been clarified. Read the actual case.
