Subject: black box scheme and other ideas
If all drivers had to display a current insurance certificate in the car windscreen as many other countries do, surely this would greatly reduce the amount of people driving without insurance.
Young drivers, especially males, we feel that a scheme to encourage and compensate young drivers if they do not have an accident or claim has to be the way to go.
The present system condemns all young drivers by charging ridiculous premiums when it is only the minority that are driving like maniacs. If there were money back incentives for driving safely this would surely help. Someone has got to make a change to the present system which is just encourageing them not to take out insurance at all when the fine if they are prosecuted is only around £200, which is a quarter of what the insurance would cost. its no wonder so many are not bothering. Please when will someone step out here and do something sensible.
