Aside from the primary issue of whether the government owns you ...
- Seatbelts are proven effective, and helmets aren't. (3% of bikers in accidents die, regardless of helmet law.)
- You can forget you're wearing a seatbelt, but a helmet becomes more uncomfortable with each passing minute.
- You can go for years without wearing a seatbelt and never get caught, but see how long you can get away without wearing a helmet.
- People who don't have to wear helmets love helmet laws. (a.k.a. hypocrites.)
