If you are looking to be accepted into "The rest of society" as "normal" or not different, then don't create an event that merely by its name discriminates against non homesexuals. Would you like to be a part of "Non-gay games" or "Games for straights" or Sports for hetero's. Clearly the only gay's that would show up are those that would be protesting. This is a similar affect that the Gay games will have. If you want to sponsor an event and truly have all people regardless of sexual orientation participate then have a "Chicago games in the park" or Autumn festival of games" Nobody cares who sponsors it, When word gets out about the real reson CNA has done this people will have a different feeling about it. It is purely a marketing stunt. I do not believe gays are discriminated against to any level some would have us believe. Yes it is offensive to some, including some gays that make jokes about flaming queens, etc. A large portion of the discrimination is a result of making a point that they are different. We don't care that you are different, so don;t make a big deal out of it. Some people are left handed and everything in life is different for them, try using scissors with the wrong hand, or writing without getting ink on your hand. And yes the world would be a better place if we all spoke one language. No body will ever be able to fit in with all groups of people in life, so you do what you can, with those that you associate with and do similar things with, I am not an athlete, so this entire forum would not appeal to me, and I bet there won't be to many that attend these games that would make it in a football game against an average college football team. Even in the gay games there will be people that lose, live with it.
