I hope your organizations/ lobbist, are happy with the outcome of the governors vito of the helmet appeal bill.This vito might have saved your companies money, or not.It sure don't help Michigans summertime tourist economy. Between the already high cost of auto and motorcycle insurance and the cost of gasoline. I'm a biker, who's talked to alot of other biker/enthusist from states where there are no helmet laws who refuse to ride in our state because they have to pack a helmet across all the states that don't require them, just to enjoy our highways and scenery. You people in the big business of insurance already attach 100.00 per vehicle insured in this state,for the cadistrofic fund. Now times that by how many registerd vehicles in this state? i don't think my calculater can count how much extra money insurance companys take in a year,on top of the already high rates we're charged. But all my ventings won't change a thing. People make changes happen. This fall, a change is comming in our government. With the right decision making in the last four years J.G. might have had a chance for re-election. But either she's had bad advisers or made some poor decisions on her own, but because of certain issues shes either vitoed or voted for she'll have a hard time retaining her seat this fall. I've fought for this country to keep it free, and freedom of choice is my stand. The choice to live here or there or wherever. It's all about freedom of choice. Personally I'd wear a helmet most of the time, but there's a time and a place, at my choosing I won't. So, not unlike the seatbelt law we have no choice. Bad decisions are made on our behalfs everyday by people who begged for our votes to be put in office only to forget about the little person that helped get them there, it suck's SideStep
