Let's see - midnight to 6am, minimum 6 hours, so that's about $5/hour. plus the hassle, minus the gas to get there and burned while moving along in line (for those not first in line). IDIOTS ! You apprently have the time, so get a minimum wage job for 6 extra hours a week and you'll have that $30. for gas. Typical of too many in our society, expecting something for nothing. I'm not impressed with Allstate's promotion, especially the manner in which they did it -- all the gas that must have been burned waiting in line, when we should be conserving fuel, and doing what we can to reduce emissions.
Why not hand out gift cards or better yet,
give a gas card to randomly selected policyholders with clean driving records ?
Obviously, it was not the safe drivers that were in line for the free gas ! They should have had to show a recent copy of a clear MVR to get the gas !
