I hate to disagree but by-product (as it relates to pet food) can never be healthy. It consists of grade x meat and meat parts (including, but not limited to diseased and euthanized farm animals)and no matter how they are processed, these things are NEVER EVER safe. Feed your dog whole, human grade food or pet food with NO by-products of any kind (try Natural balance raw - very good stuff). In regard to the suit...a 9 year old cat should have been to the vet many times and it could have been very sick already, who knows? but for those who genuinely lost a healthy animal, there should be investigation as to whether the company DID delay the recall and whether it therefore owes compensation for vet bills and the pets purchase price. It is unknown at this time and to jump to a conclusion EITHER way is improper. Take care of your pets - feed them well, take care of their health well and love them well.
