I've worked in both worlds. I am the one that was 19 when first licensed and will be 28 soon (started in the agency when 17 and as a work study program). I did NOT like being captive (this was in 2004 and I only stayed with State Farm for 8 months). I was restricted and was a number...literally! Look at your e-mail address. That should be enough to tell you that it starts with something as simple as that! In the independent world, you don't have to say that you can't write that anymore...you have flexibility! Again, CONGRATS on being so young! I end with this...EXPLORE ALL OF YOUR OPTIONS!
