i agree! it's like a double indemnity....if that city/county is having trubs with the financial aspect of its police force, then they need to get a new accountant to figure it out...raising taxes in your own area makes sense...you expect the same treatment when/if you come visit a different town/city...why should you be allowed to charge especially those from the out-of-state as a fine! that can't be a fine since it not against the law to get emergency services or a police to do a report...afterall, is that not what they are paid to do? -- if you remember correctly, the va had passed the ban on the extra driver fees for in-state drivers....afterall, why should only in-state drivers have to pay more for the same offense as those from other states?
