Subject: Wisconsin vs Louisiana
Alot of the folks that lived in LA were on a fixed or low income already & probably the govt paid out for section 8 housing for them & the property owners were the ones that were not taking care of what they needed to in order to protect their own assestts, but FEMA bailed them out & gave them $.
WI however is now given the option to wait until a catastrophic loss to buy the coverage - where was that option for LA?
I guess the FEMA $ can buy their post dated insurance now - so the taxpayers are still the ones that foot the bill for the ones that don't take care of it themselves.
I sure hope they will get something like that going nationwide as I bet there are a lot of folks that would opt out until it is a need & think about the $ they save in the mean time!
