We have a problem in our society. It seems the only way to get your pound of flesh is to go after MONEY. If what all these alleged victims say is true....that no amount of money can compensate them......then why do they gladly take it and run? Instead of enriching individuals with exhorbitant awards, why not create a fund to be used for ALL victims and to help change the situation? I don't buy the argument that making an organization pay big bucks will alter it's behavior. Does that mean that only organization with big bucks can be forced to change? I don't buy the notion that it's OK for the alleged victims to take 30 or 40 years to say something. I agree w/Diane, the profit motive opened the flood gates on this issue.
