While I was at the abortion clinic (being treated worse then a dog)- there was a 12 year old girl who had been raped by her brother. The Sheriff's were there, ready and waiting to take the DNA (aka the aborted fetus) to prosecute him. That child was treated horribly- victimized again, IMHO. So, yes, it does happen.
My decision was the most difficult decision I've ever had to make, but I will never forget the look on that child's face. All she wanted was that 'thing he put there' out of her body. She had to have a Sheriff in the room with her for 'chain of evidence'. Apparently she had tried to kill herself- that's how they found out she was pregnant.
So, yeah, when I heard Palin say that she felt that child should have had that baby I am afraid of what her vision of the future will bring for the healthy daughter I had 3 years ago.
I'm not a nazi man hater. I'm a mother who has had to make a devastaging decision that was the best thing for my baby. And I'm very adamant that a decision like that is not something that Palin or the Supreme Court has any right to be a part of.
But I'm pro-CHOICE. Palin knew Trig had Down's, and she chose to have him. I respect her decision. All I want is for her and people like her to respect mine.
Oh, and btw- the girl was black. Not much of a call for black incest-rape babies in this country for adoption. So not only would that child have suffered more, there would have been most likely a afflicted baby that the Gov't would have had to provide for.
It really effected me. Not just my decision, but that poor pregnant child. I'll never forget her.
