It is apparent that the first 2 individuals that posted responses have not done their homework. Liberty Mutual Agency Markets, and Indiana and Safeco Insurance, are dedicated to the independent agent and maintaining the value of the franchise. Independent Agents should absolutely trust a carrier that has consistently moved up the Fortune 500 list over the last 3 years while the carriers listed directly above and below Liberty have consistently moved down. Independent Agents should have no qualms about being contracted with such a strong company that continues to post positive quarterly earnings when other carriers are looking for finanical support from other sources or posting negative earnings quarter after quarter. With the kind of proven success Liberty has demonstrated through multiple acquisitions, handling those transitions and helping Independent Agents continue to grow, I would certainly rather be working with them than against them.
