Subject: Due Diligence?
What compelled these people to join up with a losing proposition to begin with?
I certainly feel for those who have had their lives wracked by this experience, but there must be accountability on both sides of this issue. (I can somewhat feel their pain, because I lost a contract with an insurer that represented 95% of 13 years worth of production, due, in part, because I didn't want to bow to the demands of the branch manager to sell their high cost life insurance--my failing for not to play the political game well.)
Life goes on and the crooks among us continue to walk away--hand in hand with the attorneys who make such deals possible.
