Subject: Here's your sign
This tornado hit rogers on September 16th 2006. It was a category F2 (Fujita scale) tornado, had a width of 100 yards and travelled 7 miles in its roughly 10 minute lifespan. The young girl was killed 3 minutes into the tornado's development which was prior to the local weather service even having enough data to issue a tornado warning. In other words this was a very rapid developing tornado that gave no advance warning.
A F2 tornado as described by the Fujita Scale is a Significant tornado with winds of 113-157 mph causing considerable damage. "Roofs torn off frame houses; mobile homes demolished; boxcars pushed over; large trees snapped or uprooted; light object missiles generated."
