Subject: RE: RE: Commissions
One of the key reasons I left the insurance brokerage business (after 23 years with a national firm) to start my own independent p/c consulting practice was because of the abuse I saw and experienced as a p/c broker. Brokers of all shapes and sizes are guilty of putting themselves and their commission income before the needs and priorities of the client.
Certainly there are exceptions to what I've said as there are brokers out there that practice ethically and with integrity and who do put the client's interest before their own; not the majority.
