I can understand all your emotions and feel your pain... but I think your missing a very big point.

The landscape of insurance has changed tremendously over the last 10 years. Yes, the Zurich merger changed the culture of the company, but so did the low production from Agents who sat on their tails and collected service commissions.

Everyone has someone to report to. In the case of Farmers, it was to Zurich. They see direct writers eating market share and wonder why Farmers can't do the same. And Farmers, to their credit, tries to defend the distribution system by recruiting new people and putting pressure on agents who don't produce on a continuous basis.

There are exceptions, but you should be honest with yourselves... did you really go out and run a business, continue to invest in growth? or did you sit and complain?
